Can't Change Terms on Drop/Add Classes?
If you have trouble changing terms between Summer and Fall, click on the "Select Term" link. SIS remembers the last term selected and will not change unless you switch terms on the "Select Term" link.

Other Deadlines and Dates to Remember?
See the Registrar’s Enrollment Guides or
Registrar’s Academic Calendars
for additional details including drop/add deadlines and withdrawal deadlines. Are You Enrolled in a Class with a Variable Number of Credit Hours?
Use the "Change Class Options" feature to input the number of credit hours you want.
What Does "Not Applied to Current Program" Mean?
See your advisor. You are enrolled in a course that is not accepted for credit in your
current academic program. For example, a graduating senior may request that
certain courses taken in his/her final undergraduate term at OSU be applied
to an OSU graduate program. See the OSU
Catalog for details.
The credit will be adjusted at the time your degree is posted, providing all
requirements stated in the OSU catalog have been met. If you are a graduate student
enrolled in an undergraduate class, contact
the Graduate College.

Are You Getting the "Login Expired" Message Immediately? Your browser must accept "Cookies". Are Cookies Dangerous to My Computer? NO. A cookie is a simple piece of text. It is not a program, or a plug-in. It cannot be used as a virus, and it cannot access your hard drive. Your browser (not a programmer) can save cookie values to your hard disk if it needs to, but that is the limit of the effect on your system. For more information please read the FAQ at
Graduating in the Next Two Semesters?
Students planning to graduate in the next two semesters need to fill out a diploma application. Students
may obtain a diploma application at Certifications in the Registrar's Office or Sectioning. The diploma
application must be on file in the Registrar's Office for a student to graduate. The deadline to file a diploma
application is the Friday of the second week of class. For more information, please call (405)744-6873.
Students may charge All Sports, Allied Arts, University Theatre, and Orange Peel tickets to their Bursar
accounts. These are available FALL semester only.
Other possibilities: Sometimes, simply exiting and restarting your browser will clear this error.
1. Your Web for Students session was left inactive for too long.
Be sure to log out of Web for Students. Leaving a Web for Students session logged in and unattended invites others to view and possibly change your student information.
2. You've already exited from Web for Students.
Once you exit, you must login again.
3. Your PC is running Web accelerator or download accelerator software.
If you have purchased or downloaded one of these accelerator programs, please uninstall or disable it.
4. You are using America Online's browser.
You can use Internet Explorer or Netscape with AOL. There is an issue with the AOL caching proxy server and the AOL Web browser. The workaround is to open a separate instance of IE or Netscape in order to access Web for Students. You most likely will run into problems if you use AOL's browser. The phone number for AOL technical support is (800) 827-3338.
5. Excessive system load.
The mainframe system could not respond to your request within a reasonable period of time.
6. You pressed your browser's Stop button or the Esc key, then clicked a link.
Interrupting Web for Students while it is working on your request requires that you log back in.
7. Your Internet provider uses HTTP proxies.
As a security measure, Web for Students builds a key to identify you and your session. This key includes your IP address. If you are coming through a proxy server, the proxy server may use multiple IP addresses. If the proxy attempts to get pages using different IP addresses, Web for Students will view this as a security violation and tell you that you must log in again.
Using Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, it is possible to use a proxy server but set exceptions. IE or Netscape will not go through the proxy for these sites listed as exceptions, thus alleviating the problem.
8. You are using WebTV. WebTV uses HTTP proxies (see above) with their set-top boxes.
There is currently no solution available for WebTV users. The problem lies with the configuration of the WebTV set-top boxes and cannot be resolved at OSU.
9. You double-clicked a link.
Links should be clicked only once.
Why Can't I Use My Browser's Back and Forward buttons?
(The following may not apply to all browsers.) Actually, if you click Forward immediately after you click Back without clicking anything else between the two, you can. Otherwise, this prevents others who may also use the same PC from using these buttons to bring back the screens you were using, and thus see and possibly change your student information. If you do press Back or Forward, you may receive the "Login Expired" message and be required to log back in. ALWAYS CLICK ON THE EXIT BUTTON BEFORE LEAVING YOUR PC. This will log you off and prevent unauthorized access.
What is a "Student ID"?
Your Student ID is often your Social Security Number. If you indicated when you were admitted to OSU that you did not wish to use your SSN for identification, your Student ID Number is the nine-digit number assigned to you at that time. OSU Photo ID cards carry a 16-digit card number that may be used to access SIS. If you receive a new photo ID, your "card number" will change.
Need to Know Your Account Information?
You may view your current balance and pay by credit card. To review account charges, balance information or estimated tuition charges for future semesters, please go to the Bursar's Office, 113 Student Union (Stillwater).
